Residents of Noida’s 7X sectors are welcoming a major upgrade as a new Ganga water project goes live. Now, Sectors 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, and 79 will directly receive 40 million litres of fresh Ganga water each day, thanks to a new supply line from Ghaziabad to Sector-116’s reservoir. This move, led by the Noida Authority and local MLA Pankaj Singh, directly addresses long-standing issues with high TDS levels in tap water, making it safer and more suitable for drinking.

Previously, families had to rely on a mix of borewell and municipal water with high mineral content, but this dedicated supply promises consistency and quality. The community is hopeful for improved daily life, and many are asking for extended water timings to further benefit from the upgrade. Noida’s investment in better water infrastructure marks an important step towards a healthier and more comfortable city life.
