Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, has announced the signing of a Taj hotel along with Taj branded residences in Noida, marking one of the most high-profile luxury developments planned on the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway. Conceived as a greenfield project under a management contract with Gulshan Group, the development will bring together a 150-key Taj hotel and 74 ultra-luxury branded homes in a single integrated complex.
A New Luxury Anchor On The Expressway
The project is strategically located along the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway, a corridor that has rapidly evolved into a key axis for offices, institutions and premium housing, and is poised for further growth with the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar. IHCL’s leadership has framed this signing as part of a broader strategy to strengthen its presence in high-growth markets like Noida and Greater Noida, where infrastructure upgrades and corporate expansion are driving sustained demand for high-end hospitality and branded residences.
For IHCL, the Taj-branded project in Noida deepens its luxury footprint in the National Capital Region and increases its portfolio in Noida and Greater Noida to five hotels, including one under development. For Noida’s real estate and hospitality map, it introduces a globally recognised luxury brand directly on the expressway, supporting the city’s transition from a peripheral market to an independent destination for business, leisure and events.
Inside The Planned Taj Hotel
The upcoming Taj hotel is planned as a full-service luxury property with 150 guest rooms designed to cater to both business and leisure travellers. The hotel program includes an all-day dining restaurant, a bar and two specialty restaurants, offering a range of culinary experiences that can serve in-house guests as well as residents and visitors from the wider Noida region.
To tap into the growing meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) segment around Noida, the hotel will feature a ballroom of over 8,000 square feet, complemented by pre-function spaces and flexible meeting rooms. This configuration positions the property to host everything from corporate offsites and product launches to destination weddings and social celebrations, which currently often spill over to Delhi and Gurugram.
Leisure and wellness are central to the design, with recreational facilities including a swimming pool, a gym, a health club and Taj’s signature J Wellness Circle. For guests and locals alike, these amenities will create a resort-style environment within city limits, with easy connectivity to surrounding residential sectors and business districts along the expressway.
Taj Branded Residences: Ultra-Luxury Living In Noida
Alongside the hotel, IHCL and Gulshan Group will develop 74 Taj branded residences that are positioned at the top end of Noida’s housing market. Each residence is planned as an expansive home of around 7,500 square feet, aligning with the expectations of high-net-worth families, global professionals and business leaders who prefer large-format living spaces paired with hotel-grade services.
Residents will have access to a private Residents’ Club that forms the heart of the residential community. The club is planned to include terraced gardens, a lounge, sports facilities, children’s play areas and an infinity swimming pool, creating a self-contained environment where everyday life blends with resort-style recreation.
This model of branded residences, managed by a trusted hospitality brand, is designed to bring together the comfort and privacy of a personal home with the consistency of professional management, concierge-style services and shared amenities. For Noida, it also introduces a new benchmark for scale, design and amenity mix in the ultra-luxury segment, especially along the expressway micro-market.
Gulshan Group’s Role And Real Estate Context
Gulshan Group, the project’s owning company, has spent over three decades building a portfolio of high-end residential and commercial developments across Noida and NCR. The group emphasises integrity, craftsmanship and design innovation, and has positioned this collaboration with IHCL as a statement project that blends the glamour of luxury hospitality with the large-scale possibilities of contemporary real estate.
By partnering with Taj, Gulshan Group aims to create an iconic landmark for the region that stands out not only for its height or footprint, but also for the quality of public and private spaces, services and long-term value creation. In the broader Noida market, where premium and luxury projects have been steadily increasing along the expressway, the addition of Taj-branded homes and a five-star hotel is likely to reinforce investor and end-user confidence in the corridor.
Hyperlocal Lens: Impact On Noida’s Expressway Corridor
For the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway, the Taj–Gulshan development acts as a powerful signal that large national brands view this corridor as a long-term hub for high-value business and lifestyle activity. A 150-key luxury hotel with a grand ballroom and multiple restaurants can redirect a share of corporate events, weddings and conventions into Noida, benefitting local event planners, décor firms, logistics providers, entertainers and ancillary service businesses based in the city.
On the residential side, 74 Taj-branded homes of roughly 7,500 square feet each are likely to set new benchmarks for both pricing and lifestyle expectations in the city’s ultra-luxury segment. As these residences attract business families, CXOs and global professionals who want proximity to corporate hubs, schools, healthcare and the upcoming airport, they expand the base of high-spending consumers for Noida’s restaurants, retail and wellness ecosystems.
The project also strengthens Noida’s position on the hospitality map of NCR, which has historically been dominated by Delhi and Gurugram for five-star supply and branded residences. With IHCL now counting five hotels in Noida and Greater Noida, including one under development, the city is better placed to host large conferences and destination events within its own boundaries instead of routing them across the Yamuna or to central Delhi.
For residents of sectors around the expressway – from IT parks and institutional clusters to emerging residential pockets closer to the proposed airport connectivity routes – the upcoming complex adds another high-quality destination for dining, wellness, staycations and social events within a short drive. Combined with planned road and transit links to Jewar and beyond, the Taj hotel and branded residences reinforce the expressway’s image as one of Noida’s most aspirational and future-ready corridors for both living and investing.
