LG Corporation, one of the world’s leading technology conglomerates, has announced a major leap forward in its India expansion strategy with the establishment of a state-of-the-art Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Noida. Spread across more than seven acres in the Phase-II industrial sector, this new research hub will see an investment of ₹1,000 crore and generate 500 direct employment opportunities—over 90% of which are expected to be filled by Indian professionals.

The Noida GCC will focus on advanced research across consumer electronics, smart appliances, and digital technologies, integrating innovation, design, and digital solutions under one roof. The centre aims to complement LG’s existing research operations, giving Noida a central role in developing next-generation tech for both India and global markets.

At a recent planning meeting with Noida Authority CEO Lokesh M, LG delegates emphasized their commitment to maximizing local hiring and to fostering wider collaboration with regional tech talent. The move aligns with the UP GCC Policy 2024, which seeks to make Noida, Lucknow, and Varanasi magnets for global innovation and research investment.

This initiative further strengthens Noida’s reputation as northern India’s fastest-growing technology hub. In 2025 alone, Noida has welcomed major projects from global giants, including chip design centers and IT campuses. Experts say LG’s facility will help drive regional economic growth, boost India’s manufacturing and R&D sector, and attract further investment from top international companies.

LG’s new data research unit in Noida is not just an R&D site—it promises to become an engine for local job creation, high-value industry partnerships, and technology advancement. As work on the centre begins, the Noida Authority is supporting LG with infrastructure coordination, regulatory clearances, and a pro-investment policy framework.

The investment comes at a transformative time for Noida’s tech sector and signals India’s emergence as a preferred destination for global research, design, and digital innovation. LG’s project will inspire other multinational companies to deepen their roots in the region, opening doors for future opportunities for local talent and business.
