April 2026 marks an important moment for Noida and the wider NCR. As the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority marks its 25th foundation year and Noida approaches its Golden Jubilee on April 17, the region is entering a new phase of infrastructure-led growth.

Over the past five decades, Noida has evolved from an industrial township into one of North India’s most important urban and economic centres. Now, with a series of major projects underway, approved, or moving towards execution, attention is shifting to what the city’s next decade could look like.

Here is a closer look at five major projects expected to influence how people live, commute, work, and invest across Noida and the wider region.

1. Noida International Airport at Jewar

Among the region’s most significant developments is the Noida International Airport at Jewar. With Phase 1 inaugurated and runway infrastructure in place, the project is expected to reshape regional connectivity across Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna Expressway belt. As commercial operations move closer, the airport is already influencing nearby real estate, hospitality, warehousing, and logistics activity.

2. The International Film City

Another closely watched project is the proposed International Film City in Sector 21 of the YEIDA region. With the foundation stone ceremony scheduled for April 24, the project is being positioned as a major push for media, entertainment, tourism, and allied services in Uttar Pradesh. The first phase is planned across 230 acres, with studios, production support infrastructure, a film institute, and entertainment-linked development forming part of the larger vision.

3. The Aqua Line Metro Extension

For daily commuters, the approved Aqua Line Metro extension is among the most important mobility projects in the pipeline. The 11.56 km corridor is planned to connect Sector 142 with Botanical Garden, improving integration between Noida’s Aqua Line and the wider Delhi Metro network. With eight proposed stations, the extension is expected to improve access to major office districts and reduce dependence on road-based travel along key stretches.

4. The 75-Foot Golden Jubilee Clock Tower

As part of the city’s Golden Jubilee year, Noida is also preparing a new civic landmark in the form of a 75-foot clock tower near the Great India Place area. The structure is intended to mark the city’s 50-year milestone and add a visible commemorative element to the urban landscape. Alongside the new administrative complex in Sector 96, the project reflects an effort to combine civic identity with urban upgrading.

5. Hyperscale Data Centre Parks

Beyond visible infrastructure, Noida and Greater Noida are also strengthening their role in the digital economy through large-scale data centre investment. The wider corridor has emerged as a key destination for hyperscale data infrastructure, supported by land availability, connectivity, and proximity to the NCR market. These projects are expected to support digital services growth, attract long-term investment, and deepen the region’s position in India’s technology and infrastructure landscape.

As Noida approaches its Golden Jubilee, these five projects reflect the scale of change now underway across the city and its extended growth corridor. Some are already visible on the ground, while others are still moving through planning and execution. Together, they offer a strong indication of how Noida’s next chapter may take shape.
