Which goods-vehicle routes are affected?
1. Chilla intersection towards Ghaziabad and western Uttar Pradesh
Goods carriers travelling through Chilla towards Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr or Muradnagar have been directed towards the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
Freight traffic that normally uses the Sector 62 side to reach Ghaziabad may therefore face a longer diversion.
2. Delhi-Badarpur and Okhla Barrage route
Goods vehicles travelling from the Delhi-Badarpur side through Okhla Barrage towards Ghaziabad and other western Uttar Pradesh destinations are also reported to have been diverted towards the expressway network.
Heavy-vehicle movement between Chilla and Okhla Barrage has been described as completely prohibited during the restriction period.
3. Chilla or DND towards the elevated road
Goods carriers entering through Chilla or DND and intending to use Maharaja Agrasen Marg elevated road towards Ghaziabad and adjoining districts are reported to have been redirected through the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
4. Dadri NH-91 traffic
Goods vehicles travelling from Aligarh, Bulandshahr or Sikandrabad through Dadri NH-91 towards Ghaziabad or Delhi have been directed to use the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
5. Kasna and Pari Chowk towards Delhi
Goods carriers arriving from Sikandrabad or Kasna and travelling through Pari Chowk towards Delhi are reported to have been diverted from Sirsa roundabout towards the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
6. Model Town, Chhijarsi and Taj Highway
Goods vehicles travelling towards Ghaziabad through Model Town, Chhijarsi or the Taj Highway have also been directed towards the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
