KENT RO Systems has announced an investment of nearly ₹250 crore in a lithium battery and inverter manufacturing facility in Sector 159, Noida, as the company enters the energy-storage business.
The investment forms part of its newly introduced KENT New Energy division, which will focus on lithium battery systems, solar hybrid inverters and power backup products.
For Noida, the announcement adds another manufacturing activity to the city’s industrial base. The company has not established a specific number of new local jobs through the announcement.
What is KENT manufacturing in Noida?
According to the company, its new energy business includes lithium battery packs and inverter systems designed for domestic power backup and solar energy storage.
These systems can store electricity obtained from solar panels or the power grid for later use.
The company has introduced lithium battery products with capacities ranging from 5.1 kWh to 16 kWh.
Its product range also includes solar hybrid inverters that manage electricity from solar panels, batteries and the grid.
Where is the manufacturing plant?
KENT has identified Sector 159 in Noida as the location of its lithium battery and inverter manufacturing facility.
The company describes the facility as occupying approximately three lakh square feet on a six-acre site.
The plant is part of KENT’s expansion beyond its established water purification business.
What is the plant’s current capacity?
KENT has stated that the facility has an installed annual capacity of 3.5 GWh.
KENT says it plans to increase the plant’s installed annual capacity from 3.5 GWh to 10 GWh within six months of its October 2026 announcement.
The distinction is important: 3.5 GWh is the installed capacity announced by the company, while 10 GWh is an expansion target.
Neither figure should be interpreted as the quantity of batteries already produced or sold.
How will the products be distributed?
KENT says it intends to use its existing distribution network, retail channels and online platforms to sell the new products.
Larger energy-storage systems and solar hybrid inverters are also expected to be distributed through specialised installation and engineering partners.
The company has identified battery-cell suppliers including EVE and REPT.
What does the investment mean for Noida?
The investment represents a diversification into energy-storage product manufacturing within Noida.
It may be relevant to local suppliers, engineering firms and workers following developments in the city’s manufacturing sector.
However, the investment announcement does not provide a verified recruitment schedule, number of new positions or job application process.
Residents and jobseekers should treat any future employment opportunities as confirmed only when KENT issues specific recruitment information.
The development also relates to a broader interest in advanced manufacturing across Gautam Buddh Nagar. Pulse of Noida has separately covered the YEIDA electronics manufacturing cluster and its environmental clearance.
That project is distinct from KENT’s existing Noida facility.
What should residents watch next?
The next measurable developments include confirmation of expanded manufacturing capacity, production volumes and any recruitment announcements connected with the Sector 159 facility.
For now, the established news is KENT’s reported ₹250 crore investment, the announced manufacturing activity and the company’s stated expansion plan.
