Barapullah Phase III Inaugurated: What It Could Change for Noida–South Delhi Commuters

The new Delhi corridor may offer some Noida drivers another way towards South Delhi. Its effect on daily travel has yet to be measured.

Drivers travelling between Noida and South Delhi have a new route to consider. Barapullah Elevated Road Phase III was inaugurated in Delhi on 29 September 2026. The government’s inauguration release says the corridor is intended to provide signal-free connectivity between East and South Delhi.

For Noida residents, the question is whether the Delhi-side link offers a better way to reach their particular destination. Delhi’s Economic Survey describes the Barapullah Phase III link between Mayur Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan. It identifies improved connectivity from Noida and Ghaziabad as an intended benefit.

Which Noida journeys might benefit?

Drivers reaching the Mayur Vihar side from Noida and continuing towards South Delhi can consider the corridor as another route option. Delhi’s Economic Survey expects the project to reduce congestion at the Sarai Kale Khan junction. That is a project aim, not a measured result for individual journeys.

The new segment is in Delhi. Noida drivers still need to reach its eastern approach, so the useful choice will depend on their starting point, destination and traffic conditions. Pulse of Noida’s Noida–Delhi route guide covers other road and metro options.

What remains to be tested

The corridor has been inaugurated, but this story does not claim a verified Noida-to-South Delhi travel time or a measured reduction in congestion. Commuters should check route directions and current traffic before changing a regular journey. Pulse of Noida can update its route guide after checking the signed entry and exit points and testing the trip from Noida.
