Noida International Airport to Begin Commercial Flights from June 15
Noida International Airport is now less than 25 days away from welcoming its first commercial passengers.
The airport operator officially confirmed on May 1, 2026 that scheduled passenger and cargo operations will commence from June 15, 2026. The announcement was made through the airport’s official channels, marking the end of a long wait for residents across Noida, Greater Noida and the wider YEIDA belt.
The first flights
IndiGo will operate the inaugural commercial flight from Noida International Airport. Akasa Air and Air India Express are confirmed to follow shortly after. Detailed schedules, terminal information and booking windows from individual airlines are expected to be communicated in due course.
Confirmed routes
IndiGo has published its initial route plan for the airport.
Flights starting June 15 will connect Noida International Airport to Amritsar, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Lucknow.
A second phase of connectivity is planned from July 1, adding routes to Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Dharamshala, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Pantnagar, Srinagar and Navi Mumbai.
Routes for Akasa Air and Air India Express are yet to be officially announced.
How the airport reached this milestone
The first phase of Noida International Airport was inaugurated on March 28, 2026, following the grant of an aerodrome licence by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in March 2026.
The final regulatory step before commercial operations — approval of the Aerodrome Security Programme (ASP) by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) — confirmed that the airport’s security systems, procedures and infrastructure meet all standards required for the start of passenger services.

What this means for residents
For passengers, the June 15 launch means that travel to several major Indian cities will no longer require a trip to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. The new airport offers a significantly shorter drive from most parts of Noida, Greater Noida and the Yamuna Expressway belt.
Passengers departing from Noida International Airport will pay a User Development Fee of ₹490 for domestic departures, as fixed by the Airports Economic Regulatory Authority of India (AERA). For full details on UDF and what to expect at the airport, see: Noida Airport UDF Fixed: Domestic Flyers to Pay ₹490 on Departure.
The airport’s launch is also having a visible impact on land values in the surrounding region. YEIDA has revised allocation rates in the belt, reflecting the growing investor interest ahead of the operational launch. Part of a larger transformation
Noida International Airport is one of several large-scale projects reshaping the city and its surrounding region. For a broader look at what is coming, read: Countdown to 50: 5 Mega Projects Shaping Noida’s Next Decade.
What residents should do next
As June 15 approaches, residents and frequent flyers should:
- Track official route and schedule announcements from IndiGo, Akasa Air and Air India Express directly on airline websites.
- Check the Noida International Airport official website for terminal access, drop-off zones, parking and ground transport updates.
- Follow GNIDA and YEIDA for any road or transport advisories linked to the airport launch.
The airport’s full potential — including international flights and cargo operations — is expected to develop over subsequent phases. For now, June 15 marks the beginning of a new chapter in how Noida and Greater Noida connect to the rest of India.
